{THEME}

   Number the Stars and the book Tuck Everlasting are two very different books.  They can also be very simmilar too.  For example, They both share a common theme "The burden of decision making." Here is a little bit about these stories and how they relate to the main theme in their own way.

   For starters, Number the Stars shares the theme, the burden of decision making because Annemarie had to make the decision to eather keep Ellen's secret safe while putting her own life in danger, the decision she had to make was right around when Ellen stayed for the night. How was Annemarie going to keep such a big secret? At the end, Annemarie helped her friend make the right decision to help her friend.

   In the book Tuck Everlasting the main character Winnie had to make a big decision too.  In the book she meets the Tuck family and they have an unimaginable secret.  87 years ago they drank some water from a creek in the woods and now they live forever and they never grow old.  So Winnie had to make a decision of drinking the water to live forever or live her life normally.

   Winnie Foster and Annemarie Johansen are the same because their decisions impact everyone around them and they are also the same age so that lets them be more relatable.  There are also some differences too.  Winnie's decision effects her whole life, but for Annemarie it would only effect her for a few years till the war was over.

   In conclusion, Tuck Everlasting and number the stars are two amazing books.  Which have similar and different stories with a common theme of the burden of decesion making.  And that theme can really tie two stories together.
